A series of fractured ceramic vessels, each cast from the same three slip-cast moulds, yet no two remain identical. These imperfect duplicates embody a dysfunctional family member—each one struggling, failing to live up to an unattainable ideal. Once meant to be uniform, their forms now collapse, crack, and bear the weight of bricks, each distortion telling a story of strain, expectation, and silent struggle.
This series was created and exhibited as part of Small Acts of Violence, an immersive installation exploring the subtle yet profound ways harm manifests within familial structures. Through the tension between perfection and failure, resilience and fragility, the work invites reflection on the unseen pressures that shape identity and relationships.
